Becco

Food: Becco has a classic Italian menu that features pastas, meat and fish dishes, appetizers, and a full dessert menu. The back of their menu has a glossary giving a description of certain Italian words that guests many be unfamiliar with.

Drinks: Huge wine list with decadents wines from around the world. Becco also has delicious cocktails and local NYC beers on tap.

Decor: Becco means "large beak" and the restaurant’s symbol is a little bird. I found this in the glossary on the back of the menu! Located on restaurant row in NYC, this is a perfect spot for a pre-show meal with a classy vibe, but also casual enough that you don't have to be too formal. It feels very homey with a beautiful bar located in one of the side rooms. There is lots of seating, but it is a very popular restaurant, especially on weekend nights before shows start at 8pm, so I suggest making a reservation or getting there early.

My fav: I visited Becco for lunch with my family when they had a pasta special going on. $20.95 for your option of either soup or salad, then unlimited pasta where you got to sample 3 of the chef’s specialty pasta's of the day! The featured pastas were a pesto pasta with green beans (my fav), Eggplant Ravioli, and noodles in a beef sauce. I apologize that I don’t have a better description of what each of these pastas were, but all I can tell you is they were amazing! So fresh and delicious- and well priced!
