Food: Unique flavors, fun colors, an amazing theme, and incredibly crafted donuts? Sign me up. Voodoo Doughnuts has over 50 doughnuts on their menu, but you are able to create your own doughnut as you desire. They make different styles of doughnuts: raised yeast, cake, and specialty. They also have lots of creative concepts for their doughnuts like the "School Daze PB&J", "Ring of Fire", "Voodoo Bubble", and the classic "Voodoo Doll". These doughnuts are big and designed so beautifully, you'll feel bad biting into it, yet be so glad you did.
Drinks: Standard bottled beverages.
Decor: Really fun voodoo theme, but not in a dark, spooky way. This is a place for the whole family, although there are a few suggestive puns here and there. Lots of vibrant colors and characters around this place, with a few different locations around the country. I visited both in Austin, Texas and at the Universal City Walk in LA.
My fav: I loved the "Old Dirty Bastard": raised yeast doughnut with chocolate frosting, Oreo cookies, and peanut butter. Next time, I would want to try the "Viscous Hibiscus": raised yeast doughnut with hibiscus flavored frosting and black sprinkles. Or the "Memphis Mafia": fried dough with banana chunks and cinnamon covered in glaze, drizzled in chocolate and peanut butter with peanuts and chocolate chips on top.
