Watermen's Bar & Grill

Food: While Watermen’s is an ideal spot for seafood, don’t let that fool you for what they can do with some meat! The Surf & Turf is a stand out that uses shrimp instead of lobster that’s usually used in surf n turf. The herb encrusted prime rib was cooked perfectly, as were the burgers. The guac and chips is an excellent starter option. However, the stand out that my boyfriend claimed as his favorite meal of the trip, was the sesame crusted seared tuna!

Drinks: Bushwackers! I haven’t had this cocktail since I was on tour and traveled to Gulf Shores, Alabama. I missed it! Similar to a Mudslide, a Bushwacker is basically just a spiked chocolate milkshake. It’s incredible- one of my favorite drinks! Waterman’s has great drink specials during the week as well, like Sunday Rum Day and Margarita Monday where you get $2 of select drinks.

Décor: Due to COVID, we couldn’t see much of inside unfortunately. We ate outdoors, but honestly, I preferred that! Watermen’s is located on a waterfront deck where you can view lots of watersports taking place right in front of your eyes! REAL Watersports is located here as well, so you can view paddleboarding, kiteboarding, surging, and jet skis. This is a perfect outdoor vacation dining spot!

My fav: Sitting outside on a summer evening with a Bushwacker and the Surf & Turf entree. This screams summer in the Outer Banks.
